HOURS PER WEEK: 40 hours per week at 258 days per year
POSITION GOAL: Perform under general supervision maintenance, repair and installation of media equipment and do related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform skilled repair and maintenance activities on media equipment as designated by supervisor. 2. Maintenance and upkeep of department inventory and equipment. 3. Assist in the design and installation of media equipment in school districts and Technology Center. 4. Receive work orders as assigned by supervisor and compile. 5. Attend workshops and inservice sessions as requested by director. 6. Be aware of activities and responsibilities of other departments in Technology Center. 7. Knowledgeable in the operation of all equipment used in the department. 8. Implement guidelines in the service and maintenance of vehicles assigned to department. 9. Perform job related tasks as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM PREREQUISITES:
1. Follow oral and written directions. 2. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with persons contacted in course of work. 3. Have knowledge of basis electronic theory and practice. 4. Capable of reading and interpreting electronic schematic diagrams. 5. Have knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in maintenance of media equipment.
